Bitcoin orange is the iconic color of the Bitcoin logo, with the official hex code #F7931A. This is a vibrant, bright orange shade used in the flat circular background with the white tilted “₿” symbol.

A pseudonymous user known as bitboy on the Bitcointalk forum picked and introduced this color. On November 1, 2010, bitboy proposed the updated design, replacing the earlier gold coin-style logo with a flat orange circle, a 14-degree rotation of the “₿”, and this specific hex code. This version quickly became the standard and remains the most recognized Bitcoin logo today.

The orange was chosen partly for practical reasons—it prints well in monochrome while remaining distinctive—and to help Bitcoin stand out visually from traditional financial brands.
